Is the autumn cruel for letting flowers die, or is that just nature's way?

I wandered lonely as a cloud

Black cockatoos come crying over
unflapping as Blériot monoplanes
to crash in pine tops for the cones.

The water in the stream may have changed many times, but the reflection of the moon and the stars remains the same.
Standing on the bare ground- my head bathed by the blithe air and uplifted into infinite space- all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or parcel of God.
You'd be surprised how hard it can often be to translate an action into an idea.

They're evildoers. Yesterday it's a tree, today it's a salmon, tomorrow it's, "Let's not dig up Alaska for oil because it's too pretty." Let me tell you something - I came out here to enjoy nature. Don't talk to me about the environment.

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing in the fields has power to move you, if the simplest things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive...
