“I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple; find what it is that makes you happy and who it is that makes you happy, and you’re set. promise.”

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.

Happiness consists in getting enough sleep. Just that, nothing more.

Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.
The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.
The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.
There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.
Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always beyond your grasp, but which, if you sit down quietly, may alight upon you.
Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it.. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.
I guess forgiveness, like happiness, isn’t a final destination. You don’t one day get there and get to stay.
Peace and joy and happiness, no more sorrows, someday.

I want to let you know that if I had been born in a different place...I could have met you, and we could have been drinking buddies, and the friends I have now would have never met me. So I propose a cheers, to you random stranger and the life that you have that I know nothing about. May your happiness overlap mine one day.

"If the water is still, you can see the moon reflected. If the water is agitated, the moon is fragmented and scattered. It is harder to see the true moon. Our minds are like that. When our minds are agitated, we cannot see the true world."

"But yeah I saw you happy. Happier than you’ve been in a really, really long time. When you like someone like that, the lows are as low as the highs are high. Does that make sense?"
"It does. But it also makes me sound bipolar."
"Love will do that to a person."
